Framingham Power Outages Reported As Cold Weather, Gusting Winds Descend

FRAMINGHAM, MA — As gusty winds and frigid temps descend on Massachusetts, Eversource is reporting sporadic power outages in Framingham.

As of about 6 p.m., five Framingham outages have been reported. That's down from 28 reports earlier in the afternoon.

It's about on par with nearby communities, although Sharon to the southeast was seeing some 350 without power earlier this afternoon while some 680 customers in Bolton saw a power loss, according to Mass. Emergency Management Agency.

A high wind watch and wind chill watch will be in effect for Massachusetts from Thursday evening to late Thursday night, as wind gusts as high as 65 miles per hour and wind chills as low as 25 degrees below zero are anticipated. The wind will be blowing west and will sit at about 15-20 mph. The fiercest winds are expected between 8 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday.
