Framingham Road Work Will Cause Delays This Week

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Road work in Framingham this week will result in moderate and minor delays at a number of locations throughout town. Below is a list of projects and their effects on local traffic. Construction schedules are weather permitting.

ANNUAL ROADWAY SURFACE TREATMENT: The Highway Department will be adjusting driveway aprons in the following areas: Cherry Oca Lane, Church Street, Foothill Road, Gates Street, Goodnow Lane, Gryzboska Circle, Linwood Road, Mayflower Circle, Mayhew Street, Mayhew Street Extension, McCarthy Circle, Reservoir Ridge, Rockridge Road, Russell Circle, Russell Road, Russell Road Extension, Salem End Lane, Willowbrook Drive and Winter Lane. Expect moderate delays.

ARLINGTON STREET: The Eversource contractor will install a new gas main and services. Expect parking restrictions and moderate delays.
BEACON STREET: The Eversource contractor will install a new gas main on Beacon Street from Cochituate Road to Chubb Road. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be utilized and police details will be onsite to facilitate traffic. Expect delays.
BEAVER STREET AND KENDALL AVENUE: Sidewalk work will continue. Expect delays.
CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: The contractor will be raising utility structures in the roadway in preparation of final paving on Union Avenue and Concord Street and will continue to Howard Street. Sidewalk work will continue on Concord Street and Union Avenue. Parking restrictions will be in effect when/where necessary. Expect delays.
DYER STREET: Framingham Highway Operations will be performing milling operations and applying an overlay. Expect moderate delays.
MOUNT WAYTE BRIDGE OVER CSX RAILROAD: MassDOT contractors will continue mill and fill repairs of the roadway in the overnight hours from 7:00PM to 5:00AM. Expect moderate delays.
ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: Construction continues on the southern section of the bridge. Expect moderate delays.
ROUTE 9 PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE NEAR FRAMINGHAM STATE UNIVERSITY: MassDOT has closed the bridge for structural repairs. Pedestrians must utilize the Edgell Road Bridge to cross Rt. 9.
SALEM END ROAD: Framingham Highway Operations will be performing milling and filling of the roadway between the Reservoir Bridge and Badger Road. Expect moderate delays.
UNION AVENUE: Contractors will be setting up a work zone in the area of the Sudbury River Bridge off the roadway at Bowditch Field. Expect moderate delays.
WAVERLY STREET: At the intersection of Route 126 and Route 135, Eversource Gas will install a gas service at 407 Waverly Street on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Police details will be onsite to facilitate traffic. Expect delays.
WINTER STREET: Eversource will be installing a new gas main on Winter Street from the MWRA Bridge northbound. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be utilized and police details will be onsite to facilitate traffic. Expect delays.
WORCESTER ROAD (Between Route 126 and the Natick Town Line): Contractors will be surveying in advance of water and sewer construction in the area. Expect minor delays.
