Framingham State Defeats Worcester 68-42
The Rams clinches the second seed in the MASCAC Tournament. They have a record of 17-6 overall.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Framingham State women’s basketball team defeated the visiting Worcester State Lancers 68-42 in MASCAC action Wednesday evening in Framingham.
With the win the Rams improve to 17-6 and 9-2 in the league and clinch the #2 seed in the MASCAC tournament next week.

The Lancers fall to 7-17 and 4-7 in conference play.
The Rams were led by junior Sarah Palace with 19 points. Junior Alycia Rackliffe registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Raegan Mulherin added 11 points and Quinn O’Connell added 10 points from the bench.
Freshman Kaitlyn Berkel led the charge for the Lancers registering a double-double of her own scoring 11 points and collecting 11 rebounds.
The Rams came out of the gates hot scoring the first 16 points of the game and ended the first quarter with a 20-4 advantage. The Lancers fought back in the 2nd period and entered the break trailing 35-19. The visitors cut the Rams lead to 12 early in the 3rd quarter but they were unable to get any closer.
The host shot 40 percent from the field and 31 percent from beyond the arc. The visitors shot 32 percent from the floor but were unable to connect from long range in 4 attempts.
The Rams host Fitchburg State on Saturday, February 20 in the regular season finale.Â
