Framingham State To Replace Roofs on 2 Dorms
The University is currently renovating one dorm and constructing a new 316-bed dorm on campus.

Framingham State University plans to replace the slate roofs on two dorms on campus.
The Massachusetts State College School Building Authority will open bids on Feb. 26.

The estimated value of the project is $300,000.
Framingham State is currently renovating O’Connor Hall, with new bathrooms, meeting rooms, and a network infrastructure upgrade. It is scheduled to be completed this summer.

The University is also constructing a new residence hall, anticipated to open for the 2016-17 school year.
Construction began in spring 2015. The project is for a new 95,000 square foot, 316-bed residence hall. Bedrooms will be configured in semi-suites of doubles and singles with suite bathrooms. Design will include floor kitchenettes, lounges and ground floor amenities such as game room, laundry and recreational space for residents.
The dorm is being built at the former Maynard Street parking lot.
The project is estimated at $3.59 million by the state agency.
