Framingham Water Will Be Discolored Due to Fires

Framingham water will be discolored.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - A recent fire on Beacon Street has resulted in discolored water in Framingham.

"If you are experiencing discolored water in Framingham, it is due to a fire on Beacon Street yesterday and the brush fire on Edgell Road that Framingham Fire Department and other local fire departments are continuing to battle," Framingham Department of Public Works said today. "We ask that you please be patient as the Fire Department continues to fight the fire and we work on chasing the discolored water out of our system. The discoloration is caused by natural mineral deposits that are being dislodged from within the pipe. The water is still safe and only the aesthetic qualities are effected."
