Framingham Weather Warning: Severe Thunderstorms

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Massachusetts, including Framingham. The warning remains in effect until 4 p.m.

The warning said there could be winds in excess of 60 miles per hour.

Hail, high winds, showers and isolated thunderstorms were expected for the region Thursday afternoon.

The main time frame for concern was between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday. The NWS warned residents if they have outdoor activities planned for Thursday afternoon or Thursday night to be prepared for the potential of briefly strong wind gusts, hail and lightning, and if necessary to seek indoor shelter.
