Framingham Weather Warning: Thunderstorms Possible

Tonight's weather has prompted warnings in nearby Worcester County.

It's probably a good idea to secure the grill cover and make sure your recycling bin doesn't blow down the driveway.

There's a possible doozy of a storm headed toward Central New England, particularly Worcester County that may spill over into the Framingham area, on Monday evening.

The storm will start later in the evening, around 9 p.m., and head into the wee hours of sleeptime.

In an alert issued by the National Weather Service, it indicates that there is a low risk of strong to severe thunderstorms late Monday evening and overnight. Strong to damaging wind gusts are the greatest threat.

According to NBC Boston's Aaron Perry, “Right now, expecting a first batch of showers and t’storms to impact central and northern New England from 9pm-12am, followed by a secondary round, likely more powerful, from 2am-6am. By daybreak, shower activity and associated cold front will be exiting the coast.”
