UPDATED: Framingham Woman, 69, Indicted For Assaulting Mother-In-Law, 96

The woman's husband, 72, was also indicted by a Middlesex County grand jury on abuse charges.

A Framingham husband and wife were indicted on elderly abuse charges by a Middlesex County grand jury, this week.

Carol Delano, 69, of Framingham, was charged with assault and battery on an elderly or disabled person causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery on an elderly or disabled person, permitting abuse by a caretaker causing bodily injury, and abuse and neglect by a caretaker.

The alleged abuse by Delano was against her 96-year-old mother-in-law. The incident happened in September 2015. The woman, 96, was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Wesley Delano, 72, of Framingham, was also indicted on charges of permitting abuse by a caretaker causing serious bodily injury, permitting caretaker abuse causing bodily injury, and abuse and neglect by a caretaker.

Prosecuting the case is Middlesex Assistant District Attorney is Heidi Gosule.
