Framingham Woman's Whozeewhatzit Is New Whatchamacallit
Wait, what? Hershey held a contest to name a new candy bar, and a Framingham woman's nutty suggestion won.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — For a couple of reasons, this is a real mouthful.
If you're a candy person, you probably know Hershey's Whatchamacallit, a chocolate bar that features a crispy layer of peanut butter and caramel on the inside. But after nearly 40 years on the market, the Whatchamacallit brand is expanding with a new style.
That's where Framingham enters the picture.

Before launching the new bar — it features a peanut butter crème and rice crisps on the inside — the Hershey Company held a contest to find a new tongue-twisting name. A Framingham woman named Lisa M. (Hershey didn't release her full name) submitted the winning suggestion: Whozeewhatzit.
She was one of more than 43,000 people to submit a suggestion, the company said Monday. For her trouble, Lisa earned a $5,000 gift and a year's supply of the new bar.

The rest of us will have to wait a little while to check out the new candy bar. Whozeewhatzit will go on sale in the U.S. beginning in February, according to the company.
