FRAMINGHAM, MA — Although the coronavirus pandemic is not literally over, it will effectively be over this weekend in Massachusetts.

On Saturday, almost all the state's pandemic restrictions will end, from the mask mandate (except on public and private transportation, in healthcare facilities and in places where vulnerable people live) to limits on gatherings. To celebrate, Framingham's Exhibit 'A' brewery will host a lineup of food trucks and release a beer.

Exhibit 'A' opened its beer garden along Morton Street in April and has been offering outdoor service ever since. The brewery will open its cellar to release the Weird Flex (But OK) tropical Brett IPA this weekend with proceeds going to the women-in-beer nonprofit Pink Boots Society.

Apart from that release, here's the weekend lineup of food trucks:

  • Thursday — Odyssey Gourmet Hot Dogs
  • Friday — A Le Esh BBQ
  • Saturday — Anzio's Brick Oven Pizza
  • Sunday — NOMS Eatery

Gov. Charlie Baker said he's lifting restrictions May 29 due to the high number of people who have been vaccinated. The state expects 4.1 million to be fully vaccinated by the beginning of June. Baker's state-of-emergency order is set to end on June 15.

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that Weird Flex (But OK) was a new release; it was originally released in 2020.
