FRAMINGHAM, MA — The experimental arm of Framingham's Jack's Abby brewery unveiled a brand re-launch on Monday. Springdale Beer Co. has updated its logo and is debuting new brews as it approaches its third year in business.

Springdale was founded by Jack's Abby brewers to work on barrel-aged beers. The brewery has gone on to some acclaim, with its "Friends In Merlot Place"s beer rated one of the best in the U.S. by Wine Enthusiast.

"The brewers of Jack’s Abby had been cultivating award-winning craft lagers for years, but found themselves wanting to push the limits of beer far beyond their core, traditional lagers. That left them with only one choice — start a whole new brand. That curiosity and willingness to take risks is what launched Springdale," the brewer says of itself.

The brewery also announced the launch of its new Springdale IPA on Monday, along with a forthcoming set of hazy IPAs, wild beers, and a quarterly lineup of tart ales.

Springdale's barrel room is located along Clinton Street in downtown Framingham next door to Jack's Abby's main taproom and restaurant. The brewery will host a third-anniversary celebration on Jan. 17 featuring food by Newton chef David Punch.
