Framingham's Wilson Is Best Hurdler in the Bay State Conference
The girls indoors track team competed in the Conference meet on Wednesday, and "shattered" the Framingham High record in the 4X200 relay.

Framingham junior Ashley Wilson won the Bay State Conference title in the hurdles, on Wednesday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.
Wilson finished the 55-meter race in 8.94 seconds.
“She dropped 0.3 seconds of her season time,” said Framingham High girls indoor track head coach Chris Collins.

Wilson “now threatens to be a major player” at the Division 1 Massachusetts track meet and possibly the all-state meet, said Collins.
Her time puts her in the top 10 in the Commonwealth for the hurdles.

Overall, the girls indoors track team finished sixth in the Conference meet on Wednesday. The Flyers went 2-4 this season.
The Framingham High 4X200 relay team finished in second place in the Conference Wednesday, with a time of 1:46.98 minutes.
“The time shatters the school record they set a few weeks ago in losing to Wellesley High, who ran the fastest time at the Conference meet,” said Collins.
Framingham High now has the 4th fastest 4X200 in the state, added Collins.
On the relay team was freshman Leche Small-Brown, sophomore Zoie Carter, junior Jenny Ribeiro, and Olivia Rothenberg.
Wellesley set a Conference record in the 4X200 relay last night with a time of 1:45.46 minutes. The Flyers time also bested the previous league record set in 2012 by Natick High.
“Carter ran an incredible 26.1 seconds on the third leg,” said Collins.
Carter also finished third overall in the Conference in the 300-meter event for Framingham.
Her time of 42.57 seconds, betters her previous personal record by almost a second, said Collins. She has already qualified for the state meet. Freshman Saisha Small-Brown finished 12th in the 300-meter event.
Freshman Leche Small-Brown finished 5th overall in the Conference in the 55-meter dash. Her 7.57 seconds betters her state qualifying mark, said Collins.
Senior captain Olivia Rothenberg finished sixth in the Conference in the dash, with a 7.59 seconds time. It also improved her state qualifying mark, said Collins.
