Funeral Service Saturday For John Reed Macklin, 54

FRAMINGHAM, MA - John Reed Macklin, 54, died Sunday, February 21, 2016 in Framingham.

Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, he is the son of John E. Macklin and Dorothy C. (Macklin) Glendinning. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Macklin, daughters Lily and Sophia Macklin, brother Robert Macklin, and stepsiblings Deborah Light, Jennifer Usher, and Matthew Glendinning.

John “JJ” was a man with many interests and a wicked sense of humor.

His passions included computers, music, Boston sports, and the outdoors but his greatest achievement and source of pride was his family.

His wife of more than 20 years and his young daughters cherish the countless memories they made together at their vacation cottage on Lake Willoughby, Vermont—a place where John felt most in his element, happy, and at peace. He will be laid to rest there this summer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. in Framingham.

Funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

A fund has been established to help the family.
