Hateful Notes Targeting Muslim Student Found In Framingham School
The notes targeted a 10-year-old student at the school.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Officials are addressing the public and school community after hateful messages were found inside a Framingham school.
The messages targeted a 10-year-old student who is Muslim, at the Hemenway Elementary School, Superintendent of Schools Robert Tremblay said. Two letters were found in a storage locker on Friday and Monday, with the latter message "threatening harm." Hemenway serves students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
"It is not lost on me the harm these letters have caused the family and the greater Muslim community," Tremblay said in a statement posted on the district's website. "I want to reassure you that the Framingham Public Schools stands with you. We will not accept hate. We will stand united against it."
