FRAMINGHAM, MA - Mark Wahlberg was in town Tuesday filming the movie "Patriots Day," which tells the story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.

Camera crews, actors and swarms of police were on location at Harrison Street near the MetroWest Hospital to act out the Watertown shootout and capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev CBS reported.

The filmmakers originally wanted to shoot the scene at the intersection of Dexter Avenue and Laurel Street in Watertown, where the firefight occurred three years ago.
The Town of Watertownturned down CBS's request to film within the town borders back in February.
"Patriots Day" filmed at the former home of slain MIT Officer Sean Collier in Somerville last week. Runners also spotted Mark Wahlberg dressed as a police officer as he filmed at the finish line of the marathon on Monday.
