Jack's Abby Sets Opening Date For Beer Garden
The return to in-person service at the Framingham brewery comes as Massachusetts plans a full reopening this summer.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — One of the largest breweries in the state will reopen for in-person service in mid-May, an announcement that comes as Gov. Charlie Baker plans a wider reopening this summer.
Jack's Abby on Tuesday said it would reopen its outdoor beer garden by May 14. Patrons will be able to make reservations for outdoor tables. The reopening had been anticipated with the brewery going on a hiring spree in recent weeks.

Many businesses across the state went into hibernation over the winter during the second wave of coronavirus. Jack's Abby closed to all but curbside and takeout service in November.

Baker announced Tuesday a general reopening of all businesses in the state by Aug. 1. By May 29, bars and breweries will be able to serve without requiring patrons to order food.
Framingham's other major brewer, Exhibit 'A', reopened its outdoor beer garden along Morton Street last week. Other local brewers, including Cold Harbor in Westborough, Lost Shoe in Marlborough and Start Line in Hopkinton, have also been open for in-person service.
