La Cantina Offering 1950s Menu Prices for 70 Year Anniversary

Here's how you can get macaroni and meatballs for $1.50 on Tuesday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The long-time Framingham staple La Cantina will celebrate its 70 year anniversary on May 3 by offering menu items (and prices) from the 1950s.

The restaurant will offer: macaroni and meatballs for $1.50; linguine with clam sauce served with salad for $3.50; chicken parmigiana for $3.50; eggplant parmigiana for $2.95; veal cacciatore with salad for $3.50; cheese pizza for $1.50; side salads for $3.50; and grape nut pudding or spumoni for $3.99.

Doors will open until 4 p.m. and the deal will continue until the food runs out. There is a limit of one entree per person and no substitutions.

The anniversary is extra special because the Framingham Historical Society recently deemed the 65-year-old neon La Cantina restaurant sign historical, Wicked Local reported.

The sign was completely restored and will be revealed to the public at the May 3 celebration.
