Lamb is running for Republican State Committee in the Second Middlesex and Norfolk district, which includes Framingham.

The following is a press release from Marty Lamb’s campaign.
Editor’s Note: Lamb is one of two candidates running for Republican State Committee in the Second Middlesex and Norfolk district, which includes Framingham. The election is on Tuesday, March 1.
Marty Lamb, candidate for Republican State Committee, announced his support for reinstating the Massachusetts Federation of Republican Women charter.
”The Massachusetts Federation of Republican Women has been an important organization. It has done terrific work for candidates and recruiting candidates. I believe it is a travesty that their charter was pulled forcing them to close,” said Lamb. “We are the only state in the country that doesn’t have a chapter of the Federation of Republican Women. That’s wrong and it sends a bad message.”

During last year’s election cycle, the Massachusetts Republican Party did a review of charters.
One of the conclusions was to pull the charter for the Massachusetts Federation of Republican Women which had numerous clubs across the state. These clubs have been forced to shut down and close their bank accounts that have financially supported candidates.

Massachusetts is the only state without a Federation of Republican Women. When elected, Lamb will work to right this wrong.
The Massachusetts Federation of Republican Women has not only been helpful to candidates, but one of our strongest GOP Chair, Jean Inman, got her start with the Federation.
”It is going to take new leaders on the State Committee with the courage to take on the leadership to fix this mess. The incumbent sat silently as this organization was basically put out of business within the Commonwealth. We need a State Committee member who encourage outreach not discourage it. As a former Chairman of the effort to repeal automatic gas tax hikes, I have the proven track record in outreach and grassroots,” said Lamb.
Lamb has also been the Republican nominee for the Massachusetts House and for Congress.
Republican State Committee members are elected in March during the presidential primary. There are 2 members elected from each Senatorial district for the 80 member board that governs the GOP within Massachusetts.
