Long-Vacant Downtown Framingham Site Gets Tenant
The former 7-Eleven along Waverly Street closed abruptly in 2018 and has been empty ever since.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — One of the most noticeable vacant properties in downtown Framingham may soon be getting a tenant.
Over the weekend, Downtown Framingham Inc. reported that a lease had been signed for 428 Waverly St., a former 7-Eleven and Tedeschi convenience store. The new tenant will arrive in 2021, according to Downtown Framingham Inc.
The 7-Eleven closed abruptly in May 2018. The building has been boarded-up and vacant ever since. The building, with its Tedeschi-era red awnings, sits at the corner of one of Framingham's busiest intersections at Routes 126 and 135, and across the street from the MBTA commuter rail station.
