Man Arrested After Fight Over Pets At Framingham Park
The 57-year-old was accused of abandoning two pets. He ended up swinging a chair at two women, police said.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham man was arrested at a local park over the weekend after he got into a fight with two women who accused him of trying to abandon two small pets.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. Saturday at Cushing Park. Two women confronted Kenneth Ballou, 57, when they saw him put two pet carriers on the ground, accusing him of trying to abandon the animals inside, which were a cat and a rabbit.
Ballou got mad and accused the women of calling the police on him about pets in the past. He then picked up an aluminum folding chair and began swinging it at one of the women, police said. Ballou didn't hit anybody, but he was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon.
