The following is a press release from the Committee To Elect Marty Lamb
HOLLISTON, MA - Marty Lamb, candidate for Republican State Committee, announced that the Massachusetts Republican Assembly (MARA) has endorsed his candidacy.
“We are extremely pleased to endorse Marty Lamb for State Committee. He will work to elect Republicans and end this go along to get along backroom deal culture,” said Mary Lou Daxland, President of MARA. “We worked with Marty on the successful effort to stop automatic gas tax hikes. He is a true grassroots leader. Due to his efforts, we collected 146,000 signatures to get the initiative on the ballot. Lamb was one of only a few who had the courage to take on the establishment. He saved us $2 billion in new taxes. Furthermore, he kept the issue front and center during the election year. He did not allow Democrats to hide from their vote.”
“I am pleased that the Massachusetts Republican Assembly is supporting my bid for the State Committee. They are the heart and soul of the Republican grassroots movement. They know that a party should be about the people, not just the donors,” said Lamb.

Lamb has made his campaign about best representing the people of this district. He wants to re-instate the Federation of Republican Women’s charter and encourage more outreach. He supports electing delegates at caucuses, not having the hierarchy appoint them.
Lamb wants to rebuild the party by registering more Republicans and run more candidates for legislative office. He believes competition is a good thing.

Lamb is the only candidate who has put out a positive plan for what he will do as the next Republican State committeeman.
“You need to have a positive vision for the future. Without it our party is doomed to continue to be the minority party only winning a few seats. I believe in a vibrant Republican party,” added Lamb.
Lamb was also a leader in the successful effort to prohibit tax dollars for the Olympics. Due to Lamb’s willingness to step forward again, the plans for the Boston Olympics were dropped saving taxpayers tens of billions of dollars.
Lamb is endorsed by State Representative Geoff Diehl, Celeste Wilson, the former President of the Massachusetts Federation of Republican Women, and so many more grassroots activists.
Republican State Committee members are elected in March during the presidential primary. There are 2 members elected from each Senatorial district for the 80 member board that governs the GOP within Massachusetts.
