MassBay Announces 3 Finalists for College President
Each will be available to meet with students, staff, and public on the main campus in Wellesley and at the Framingham and Ashland campuses.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Massachusetts Bay Community College presidential search committee is pleased to announce the three finalists who will be brought forward as candidates to serve as MassBay’s next president.
After an extensive nationwide search conducted by a diverse group made up of members of the Board of Trustees, students, faculty, staff and alumni, which attracted a rich pool of candidates, the Presidential Search Committee unanimously recommended these leaders as finalists for the position of President of MassBay Community College:

· Dr. Jacqueline Elliott, current president of North Arkansas College (Harrison, Ark.)
· Dr. Susan Lusi, most recently the Superintendent of Schools for Providence Public Schools in Rhode Island.

· Dr. David Podell, current Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty for Marymount Manhattan College (New York, N.Y.)
Each finalist will visit MassBay’s three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland later this month and have the opportunity to meet students, faculty and staff, and the community at large in a series of open public forums. All are invited to attend.

Dr. Jacqueline Elliott will visit the campus on Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 23.
She is the current President of North Arkansas College (Harrison, Ark.). Previously, she served as the Vice President for Student Affairs for Northwest Missouri State University (Maryville, Mo.). Dr. Elliott earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Concordia University (Seward, Neb.), a Master of Arts in English from Fort Hays State University (Hays, Kan.), and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Higher Education with an administrative certification in Community College Leadership from the University of Nebraska (Lincoln, Neb.).
She will be presented at the following public forums:

Tuesday, March 22 - Framingham Campus (Auditorium) - 3:00 – 4:15 PM
Wednesday, March 23 - Ashland Campus (Conference Room) - 10:15–11:30 AM

Dr. David Podell will visit on Tuesday, March 29 and Wednesday, March 30.
He currently serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty for Marymount Manhattan College (New York, N.Y.). He previously served as the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost of the College of Staten Island, City University of New York (Staten Island, N.Y.). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Penn.), a Masters of Education in Child Development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Cambridge, Mass.), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology from New York University (New York, N.Y.).
He will be presented at the following public forums:
Tuesday, March 29 on the Wellesley Campus (Library Atrium) from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Tuesday, March 29 on the Framingham Campus (Auditorium) from 3:00 – 4:15 PM
Wednesday, March 30 on the Ashland Campus (Conference Room) from 10:15 – 11:30 AM

Dr. Susan Lusi will visit on Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1.
She most recently served as the Superintendent of Schools for Providence Public Schools in Rhode Island. Previously, she served as the Superintendent of Schools for Portsmouth Public Schools in Rhode Island. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Arts in Teaching Social Studies from Brown University (Providence, R.I.), a Master of Public Policy from John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy from Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.).
She will be presented at the following public forums:
