MBTA Commuter Rail Delays to Continue Friday
The MBTA announced Friday's alternate destinations for most commuter rail lines, including the Framingham/Worcester line.

BOSTON, MA - The commuter rail problems caused Thursday by a faulty Amtrak signal are expected to continue into Friday morning’s commute.
The only trains that will be going to South Station will be the Franklin, Providence, and Stoughton lines. All other lines will be stopping at alternate stations:
- Worcester will end at Back Bay, with connecting service via the Orange Line.
- Fairmount will end at Newmarket, with connecting service via bus from South Station, Atlantic Avenue.
- Greenbush will end at Quincy Center, with connecting service via the Red Line.
- Kingston/Plymouth will end at Braintree, with connecting service via the Red Line.
- Middleborough will end at JFK, with connecting service via the Red Line.
- Needham will end at Forest Hill, with connecting service via the Orange Line.
Amtrak said it was working through the night to find the route of the signal problem.

Mention of a broken signal between Back Bay Station and South Station first popped up early Thursday morning and continued to plague riders throughout the day.
Thousands of commuters were rerouted throughout the day, suffering through hours of delays.

Passengers are advised to consult MBTA.com for updates for additional information and before beginning their morning commute.
The MBTA and Keolis will have staff at several key T stations to help guide passengers, and the call-in help center will have additional staff to assist customers.
