MetroFest 2019: What You Can Expect

Over 8,000 people are expected to attend the festival.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Ever wanted the best piece of each part of the towns in the MetroWest? You're in luck, because Saturday marks MetroFest, the areas biggest festival, celebrating art, music, food and culture. Over 8,000 people are expected to attend the festival.

This is the sixth year of the festival, hosted by the MetroWest Visitors Bureau. Tents, food trucks and activities will be set up all over Bowditch Field in Framingham.

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

Bowditch Athletic and Cultural Complex 475 Union Avenue, Framingham, MA 01702

Where can I park?

MetroFest offers free parking and handicapped-accessible shuttles, which run continuously, 10:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m., from an easy to find spot (giant signs) at the Fuller Middle School, 31 Flagg Drive (use this address for your GPS). This location offers parking at Fuller Middle School, McCarthy Elementary (directly across the street) and at Mass Bay Community College (to the right of Fuller’s parking lot).

Additional parking is at Framingham State University 550 Union Avenue at River Street. A large sign will be at that intersection.

Limited HP placard parking (40 spaces, placard required) at Callahan Senior Center, 535 Union Avenue.

Don't try to drop off at Bowditch field, the high volume of traffic won't allow for it.

Where can I get tickets?

Admission is free and you can get your tickets online.

What kinds of attractions will be at the festival?

There will be something for everyone. For the foodies, there will be 20 different food trucks from all over the MetroWest selling their grub and samples from local vendors. Some of the food trucks you can expect are Ulhmans Ice Cream, Clydes Cupcakes and Sabor Latino.

There will also be a tasting tent for those beer and wine enthusiasts. The Lookout Taproom and Exhibit 'A' Brewing will be some of the businesses you can expect.

More than 100 exciting exhibits featuring artisans, crafters, cultural institutions and regional businesses will be setup throughout the festival as well as live music pumping all day.

A specially designated kids area will have three bounce houses, a rock wall, trucks and equipment and exhibitor tables geared to teaching kids.

First responders will also offer demonstrations to teach spectators something new.

Habitat for Humanity will be building colorful playhouses at MetroFest which will be given to families of regional veterans at the end of the event. This signature program of Habitat for Humanity of Central Mass/MetroWest will give festival-goers a chance to watch the sparkle in the children's eyes as Habitiat's team brightens the backyards of these families.
