Multi-Alarm Fire in Framingham Early Saturday Morning

Two firefighters were reportedly taken to the hospital with minor injuries and 10 people have been left homeless.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Two firefighters were hospitalized after an early morning blaze in Framingham Saturday.

Fire officials told multiple news outlets their injuries are not life threatening.

The Red Cross said 10 people were also left homeless by the fire at 6 Weybosset Ave., which was first reported just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning. It quickly escalated to two alarms.

The fire is believed to have started in the basement before extending up and consuming the two and a half story home.

Fire crews from Southborough and Ashland assisted in containing the fire.
