Murphy's Eats & Treats Opening 2021 Season With Sweet Twist

ASHLAND, MA — As if news that Murphy's Eats & Treats will reopen for the season this week wasn't sweet enough.

The beloved ice cream and food joint near Ashland State Park is opening for the 2021 season on March 26, and will feature a new candy shop inside in time for Easter. The candy store will feature Easter baskets and candy, and some sugar-free items, according to a Facebook post.

The Friday opening will be ice cream-only, with the larger menu featuring burgers, fries and more available beginning on Tuesday. The mini golf area likely won't open for several weeks, according to owners Shaun and Eileen Keefe.

Murphy's is typically open in the late spring and summer months during warm weather and the peak of the state park season. The forecast calls for temperatures in the 60s and high 50s through the weekend.
