New Candidate Enters Framingham District 5 Council Race
District 5 City Councilor Robert Case has decided not to run in 2021. Two people have filed to run so far.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The race for the District 5 Framingham City Council seat is looking a lot like 2019.
In early June, District 5 City Councilor Robert Case announced he would not run for a second term in 2021. Just a few days prior to Case's announcement, former School Committee member Noval Alexander pulled papers to run for the seat — he lost to Case in the 2019 general election.
On Friday, Cheryl Gordon, a local real estate agent and former town meeting member, pulled papers to run for the District 5 seat. Gordon ran in 2019 against Case and Alexander, but got knocked out in the September primary election.
