New Effort Offers MetroWest Residents Clean Energy Discounts
Framingham, Natick, Holliston and Ashland have partnered on the MetroWest Solar + Clean Heat Challenge, which launches June 17.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A joint initiative between four local communities will offer discounts to property owners to install clean energy appliances like solar panels and geothermal heat pumps.
The MetroWest Solar + Clean Heat Challenge is a joint effort run by Framingham, Natick, Holliston and Ashland. The program officially launches on Thursday with a webinar featuring local clean energy installation companies.
The program will also local residents and business owners free clean energy assessments, similar to the Mass Save.

The goal of the program, which lasts through December, is to put a dent in greenhouse gas emissions, which mainly come from buildings in the four communities.
