OUT MetroWest To Expand Middle School Program
A community meeting on the new LGBTQ program for middle schoolers will be held tonight, Jan. 27 in Newton.

Beginning in February, OUT MetroWest will offer a second Nexus program for LGBTQ and allied middle school youth.
The goal is to expand its curent LGBTQ program for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in Framingham to Newton as well.
Nexus, is a first-in-the-Commonwealth program for middle school youth, that provides a safe space to explore questions relating to sexual orientation and gender identity. Meetings include a light dinner, group discussions, and diverse activities.

The new program will be held the fourth Wednesday of each month at The Eliot Church in Newton from 6:30 to 8 p.m. All meetings are free.
Interested community members are invited to join us for an info session on tonight, January 27 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at The Eliot Church.

The meeting will include an introduction to program facilitators, an overview of OUT MetroWest services, and an opportunity for local residents to offer suggestions for Nexus Newton programming. We hope to hear from parents/guardians, school personnel, clinicians, and other stakeholders from Newton and surrounding communities.
The Framingham program meets he second Wednesday of each Month at First Parish in Framingham on Vernon Street from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Students are encouraged to attend which program meets their schedule.
