Over 800 Without Power in Framingham

High winds brought dow trees and wires across Framingham Monday morning.

FRAMINGHAM, MA- If you woke up in the dark this morning you're not alone. According to the state Emergency Management Agency, 1,114 outages were reported in the city as of 8 p.m.

Downed wires closed off Edgell Road, Monday as crews worked to clear them.

Eversource officials said high winds were to blame in the area. Wind speeds ranging from 46 mph to nearly 60 mph have been reported across the state this morning. The National Weather Service says the strongest winds are expected this afternoon.

Over 65,000 people across the state are dealing with power outages as well, as of 8 p.m. according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Eversource took to Twitter to remind customers not to touch downed wires and report the incident to both police and the utility company.
