Parking Fines Return To Framingham In June
Mayor Yvonne Spicer suspended some parking rules during the pandemic. That ends with the lifting of the statewide emergency.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Come June 15, it's back to the change jar* for drivers in Framingham.
Mayor Yvonne Spicer suspended parking fees and parking fines based on time during the pandemic. But those rules will go back into effect on June 15, coinciding with the ending of the state of emergency.
The resumption of parking rules is just one of the changes this summer following the effective end of the pandemic. In late May, the Board of Health agreed to lift a series of pandemic orders, including the eviction moratorium and the mask order.

Gov. Charlie Baker ended all pandemic restrictions on May 29, and his state of emergency ends June 15.
From a viral perspective, the pandemic isn't over yet. Framingham added eight new coronavirus cases between Wednesday and Friday, and there were still 440 active cases citywide as of Friday.
