Patch Picks: High School Football Week 2
The only high school football picks in the world that include Adele, Trump, and Chipotle ... we think.

By Bob Holmes, Patch Correspondent
Week One was a struggle as advanced analytics produced a 5-6 record. This week it's back to hunches and guesses. Here are this week's high school football predictions.
Quincy over Milton -- That rumor that Adele was going to sing at a Quincy T stop were silly and would obviously would never happen. But you might want to get to this game early. It could be the best national anthem you've ever heard.

Plymouth North over Hingham -- Did anyone else notice last week that the meat in the lobster rolls at the Plymouth concession stand seemed a little blue?
Reading over Acton-Boxboro -- In order to avoid a prop 2 1/2 override this fall, Reading school officials have adjusted ticket prices for visiting team fans. A seat in the stands will be $50, standing room $40. Ticket prices for Reading residents remain $7.

Danvers over Lynnfield -- No more home cooking for the Falcons. It's straight to Chipotle for the pre-game meal this week.
Wayland over Norwood -- The key to this one for the Warriors is a good memory. After an opening win over Hopkinton last fall, Wayland stumbled in Week Two and lost to a Norwood team that would finish 4-7. Remember that feeling guys when you take the field. And remember too, your next three are on the road. Take care of business.
South Boston over Charlestown -- The march to Gillette begins with a win over Charlestown.
Stoneham over Arlington -- It's Spot Pond over Spy Pond Friday and the start of a great weekend for Stoneham fans. After beating Arlington, Stoneham parents should head over to Stone Zoo Saturday for the Ales & Tails event. A win-win weekend.
Andover over Billerica -- Call this the Curiosity Bowl. How good is Billerica? How bad is the Andover defense? What will coach EJ Perry do to shore up his run defense? Do the week 1 scores tell us much? Very curious how this one plays out.
Braintree over Mansfield -- I know I had a reason for this pick, but I can't find it anywhere. Just disappeared on me.
Haverhill over North Andover -- What's wrong with all those Trump signs on Ricky Early's lawn? It's Halloween season and the goal is to scare people. Is anything more terrifying than Trump becoming president?
Nauset over Martha's Vineyard -- I recommend the honey-glazed Humpback wraps to Nauset fans coming over to the island.
Last week: 5-6.
