Patch Picks: High School Football Week 4
Inappropriate language, inappropriate behavior, it's crazy out there. Here are this week's high school football picks.

Inappropriate language, inappropriate behavior, it's crazy out there. And to continue the theme, here are this week's completely inappropriate football picks.
Bedford over Boston Latin — So Latin officials are irked that the state education board has downgraded their school. But it totally makes sense. The Wolfpack have started 0-3 and a loss here makes it 0-for-September. What do they expect, a spot in the Top 20?

Stoneham over Burlington — The fuss over the suspension of Burlington coach Shawn Maguire shouldn't take away from the awesome start in Stoneham. But remember, Stoneham started 3-0 last fall and then faced Burlington in week 4. Remember what happened in that one?
Concord-Carlisle over Wayland — One of these Dual County League teams is going to be 1-3 heading into October, making the playoffs a long shot at best.

Holliston over Westwood — Does anyone else realize that if not for playing the cheerleaders and booster moms in the past two Thanksgiving losses to Westwood, Holliston would have a 29-game win streak. Can't we put an asterisk on those losses?
Yankee Doodle Town over Everett — This is the Patch Game of the Week in Massachusetts and who can argue. The Fightin' Doodles contained Andover's EJ Perry just enough to win, and the feeling here is that Billerica will do the same with Jordan McAfee.
Needham over Newton North — A Confederate flag? And right in front of the high school? Your parents must be so proud.
Salem over Winthrop — Has anyone else heard Salem High officials are considering changing the school mascot from Witches to a Baphomet? In a state with way-to-many Raider and Hawk mascots, a goat-headed idol with wings would be different.
BC High over Brockton — The Boxers have no punch and facing a BC High offense that is averaging 48.5 ppg this fall will be a challenge they can't handle.
Falmouth over Sandwich — It's all working for the Clippers this fall thanks to Nick Couhig & friends. Hard to imagine that the last time Falmouth was in a Super Bowl was 1994 against Xaverian in the Division 1B title game. Falmouth lost that one when Tim Hasselbeck threw two touchdown passes and ran for another.
Lexington over Reading — The new playoff system has made league titles less important. But still, games like this one are interesting, with upstart Lexington (3-0) facing defending league champ Reading (2-1). If you haven't heard about Sal Frelick you will after this one.
Last week's record, 4-6; season 12-12.
