UPDATED: Police Charge Teen Girl With Assault and Battery With Cafeteria Stool

The public assault took place in the Framingham High School cafeteria on Thursday.

Framingham Police charged a Framingham girl, 16 with assault at Framingham High on Thursday, Feb. 25.

An unnamed juvenile was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (stool), assault and battery and disrupting a school assembly, according to Framingham Police.

The victim, a freshman girl at the high school, was punched in the face and the body and had her head struck against a stool. She required medical attention, according to Police.

Framingham High Principal Elyse Torbert sent an email to parents about the assault on Friday morning, so “there is no misconceptions about what has happened.”

She said there “may be a video that was recorded of part of the assault. My hope is that this video will not circulate,” wrote Torbert to parents.

There are multiple videos of the assault that has been circulating amongst students and parents.

“The safety of our students, as always, is of utmost importance and we will continue to monitor the safety of all students,” concluded Torbert in her email.

Torbert said discipline was taken in regards to the assault.
