Police Confiscate Python, Gator, Tarantulas At Framingham Fest

The Rhode Island man was reportedly charging people to pose for photos with an alligator and a python.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—A python and an alligator were among several animals confiscated from a man attending a popular three-day comic and pop culture convention.

The Rhode Island man had the animals at the Super Megafest Comic-Con at the Framingham Sheraton, and was charging attendees to pose with them, reports WCVB-TV.

Michael Audette of Warwick, RI, was arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to Framingham police log. Audette, in addition to the python and alligator, also had two tarantulas, reports Wicked Local Framingham.

"Seriously, if you come across anyone you believe is mistreating or abusing an animal, please call us," wrote Framingham police on its Facebook page regarding the incident. "Or in this case: Environmental Police."
