Rep. Lewis Backs Sisitsky Ahead Of Framingham Mayoral Race Event
Charlie Sisitsky, a former Framingham City Councilor, plans to formally launch his 2021 mayoral campaign with an event on Sunday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Former Councilor and 2021 mayoral candidate Charlie Sisitsky has already secured one big endorsement ahead of his official campaign launch this weekend.
In a tweet Thursday, state Rep. Jack Lewis (D-Framingham) said he would back Sisitsky in his 2021 bid to unseat incumbent Mayor Yvonne Spicer.
"I look forward to joining colleagues in local and state government in endorsing Charlie for Mayor this Sunday," the tweet from Lewis' personal account said.

Sisitsky, 75, a former longtime selectman who served one term as a Councilor, filed paperwork with the state on April 28 to run for mayor. At the time, he said he'd been approached by people "from all corners of the community [representing] parents, educators, seniors, environmentalists and business and political leaders" about a 2021 bid.
Sisitsky will officially kick off his mayoral run Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Framingham Centre Common, 2 Oak St.
