Rita Power, Framingham Resident For More Than 50 Years, Dies At 91
Power came from Nova Scotia to America in 1943.

FRAMINGHAM, MA— Rita E. ( Fougere) Power, age 91, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Cranford Rehab and Nursing Center in Cranford, NJ. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Victoria (Gracie) Fougere. She was a loving wife for over 60 years to Albert Power.
Mrs. Power came to America in 1943 and worked at Filene's Basement in Boston until she became a homemaker. She was a resident of Framingham for over 50 years. She loved feeding the neighborhood kids her delicious baked goods.
Rita is survived by her daughters Patricia Power of Kenilworth, Maureen Power of Marlborough, and Victoria and her husband Michael of Kenilworth ,NJ and her adoring grandchildren Grace and Aidan Devlin. She is the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews in Canada and the US.

She was predeceased by her husband Albert, as well as, her infant daughter Mary, her son Albert Jr.; her brothers, Ernest Fougere, Murdock Fougere, Henry Fougere, Peter Fraser, Michael Fougere and sisters, Elsie Gracie and Alice Gayle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Stephen Church, 251 Concord St. (Rt. 126), Framingham. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham.

Visiting hours on Thursday from 5 – 8 PM at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.), Framingham.
