SLIDESHOW: 2nd Annual Chocolate Extravaganza at Heritage

Attendees explored a handful of chocolate stations, before visiting the newly designed model apartment and searching for a "Golden ticket."

An ice cream sundae station, a flowing chocolate fountain, homemade chocolate goodies, and a candy station were all part of the 2nd Annual Chocolate Extravaganza at Heritage at Framingham on Thursday.

The independent, assisted living and memory care center on Water Street in Framingham treated residents and visitors to a chocolate feast.

The third station featured homemade goodies included mini cheesecakes, chocolate-covered pretzels, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate-covered Oreos, cookies, Red Velvet cupcakes, and more.

Another station had a chocolate fountain, where individuals could dip marshmallows, fruits and other treats.

The event to indulge attendees’ sweet tooth also was an open house for the Center’s newly designed model apartment.

The one-bedroom apartment features, a kitchenette, complete with microwave, refrigerator and two-burner stove. There is a writing desk, a sitting area and a bedrooms suite, with a beautifully-designed bathroom. (Photos of the unit are included in the slideshow below.)

Throughout the Center, it was festively decorated for the holidays, with almost a dozen Christmas trees inside.

After visiting multiple chocolate stations while touring various rooms in the Center, attendees then visited the model unit on the second floor, and received a Wonka-style “Golden Ticket” chocolate bar to take home.

Guests could also stop by the Center’s candy bar to take a “goodie bag” home. It was very popular with attendees of all ages.
