SLIDESHOW: Flyers Defeat Wildcats 5-2
The Framingham High boys ice hockey team is now 7-1-4 on the season, with a game against the Mustangs at Loring Arena Friday.
Framingham high boys ice hockey team defeated Weymouth 5-2 Wednesday night at Loring Arena.
With the win, the Flyers improve to 7-1-4, under Head Coach Paul Spear.
The game was the annual coaches vs cancer hockey game, in which fans were encouraged to wear pink or purple. More than $400 was raised to donate to the American Cancer Society.

Weymouth went up 1-0 midway through the first period scoring of a loose puck rebound in front of the Flyer net.
The game stayed that way until the 6-minute mark of the second period when the flyers tied it on a power play goal. Coming out of the the flyers end Austan Bellefeuille fed Tyler Anes coming down the left wing boards. Anes entered the Weymouth zone and made a cross ice pass to a streaking Colton Chassie who tipped the puck behind the Weymouth keeper to tie the game.
Less than a minute later, the Flyers took the lead on an Bellefeuille goal. Ben Stefanini took a pass from Sam Barnett at center ice, carried the puck down the right wing into the Weymouth zone and cut to the left wing then fed Bellefeuille trailing the play, who deked the Weymouth goalie to put the Flyers up 2-1.
The second period ended 2-1.
The Flyers opened up the third period scoring when Chassie picked up a loose puck, beat the Weymouth defenseman wide and beat the Weymouth goalie past his low glove side to put the flyers up 3-1.

Weymouth chipped back to make it a 3-2 game on a power play.
Minutes later, at 6:43 of the third period flyer defenseman Evan Marinofsky chipped a puck off the glass in the Flyers Zone and forward Scott Swennes picked up the puck, stormed by the Weymouth defenseman down the left wing, cut in and drove to the net beating the Weymouth goalie to put the Flyers back up by 2 goals, 4-2.
With Weymouth pressing and their goalie pulled flyer defenseman Christian Seariac scored an empty net goal to put the flyers up 5-2.
Flyers goalie Owen Parker made several big saves throughout the game.
The Framingham High boys ice hockey team will host the Mustangs of Norwood at Loring Arena on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
