Snow, Gusty Wind on the Way to MetroWest, Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Some possible snow showers will hit the area on Sunday, with more snow behind it.

Snow showers with a localized heavier snow squall or two are possible late on Sunday, accumulating up to three inches.

“The main concern will be during the early morning portion of the commute, where roadways could become snow-covered with poor visibility in heavier snow squalls,” said the National Weather Service.

Scattered snow showers and perhaps heavier snow squalls will remain possible through Monday.

A wind advisory may be needed on Tuesday for a portion of Southern New England, with a possibility of gusts up to 45 mph.

Here’s the forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

  • Sunday Night: Snow, mainly after 11 p.m. Low around 22. 1-3 inches of snow possible.
  • Monday: Snow showers likely, mainly before 10 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 28. Gusts as high as 33 mph.
  • Monday night: Mostly clear. Low 11, with wind-chill values as low as -2.
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high 23. Winds gusts as high as 30 mph.
