Snow May Fall, Even Rain, But Mass. Drought Goes On
Framinhgam residents are asked to continue conserving water through the winter.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — It may feel like a nonsensical warning as you watch snow fall out your window and slush in the streets, but the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency has issued a warning: the state's drought conditions remain unchanged.
The state’s Drought Management Task Force reaffirmed those conditions in a meeting last week. Despite more precipitation in the past month compared to this bone-dry summer, the group declared last week that the Drought Warning remains in effect for all of the state with the exception of the Cape and Islands. A Drought Advisory remains in place for the Cape and Islands.
Although there were periods of heavy rainfall in November, total rainfall for the month was below normal and significant drought conditions still exist in many areas of the state.
