Spicer Campaign Spent Big On Vote Building Tool In April: OCPF
April wasn't a big fundraising month for Framingham Mayor Yvonne Spicer, but she did buy a Massachusetts Democratic Party campaigning tool.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham Mayor Yvonne Spicer had a relatively low-key fundraising month in April, but state campaign finance reports show her campaign made a relatively big investment in voter outreach software from the Massachusetts Democratic Party.
Spicer, who has yet to declare a run for a second term, only raised about $600 in April, about the same amount she raised in March. Spicer's reelection campaign has not had a significant fundraising month since January, when she took in over $3,100, boosting her war chest to $30,257 that month.
Spicer hasn't spent much over that period either — just over $900 since December. So it's notable that she spent over $1,300 in April. About $800 of was used to buy the Mass Dems' Votebuilder tool, which helps candidates build voter lists, conduct phone banks, track donors and run canvassing events.
