Stop & Shop Employee Charged With Stealing Cash, Cigs, From Store

Video shows that she allegedly stuffed cash in her pocket, and sometimes cigarettes, on nights she closed the store.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—A Stop & Shop employee is facing several charges, including larceny from a building, after allegedly stealing money and cigarettes from the store, according to reports.

Glendora Bowman, 50, Framingham, admitted to stealing from the Temple Street supermarket on several occasions since Sept. 13, reports the MetroWest Daily News.

The store found that money was missing each town Bowman was on the closing shift, and security viewed video that showed Bowman taking cash and putting it in her pocket. Video also showed her taking cigarettes. She is due back in court on Dec. 7.
