Team Framingham 2018 Charity Selection For Boston Marathon Is On

The Team Framingham program was established in 2014 and is comprised of 20-25 runners who participate in the Boston Marathon.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—The town is now accepting applications from local nonprofit organizations interested in being a charity partner for Team Framingham 2018. Charity applications will be accepted through Nov. 3.

Qualified 501(c)(3) organizations will be placed into a random drawing to be held on Dec. 4. Framingham officials anticipates picking five charity partners who will have an opportunity to benefit from Team Framingham 2018 fundraising.

The Team Framingham program was established in 2014 and is comprised of 20-25 runners who participate in the Boston Marathon via invitational entries that Framingham receives from the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), said the announcement.

The goals of the Team Framingham program are:
• Provide town residents and town and school employees with an opportunity to participate in the Boston Marathon.
• Provide locally based charities with an opportunity to benefit from fundraising associated with the invitational entries.
Charity Qualification Guidelines
• Registered 501(c)(3).
• Not religious-based or political organizations.
• Have a Framingham location and provide services to Framingham residents and Framingham organizations.
• Have an online fundraising platform with the ability to segregate Team Framingham Funds.
• Provide fundraising and training support for their respective runners.
• Attend a minimum of three (3) onsite informational meetingsin support of the Team Framingham program.
Applicants must meet all program requirements prior to submitting an application. Partial applications will not be considered.

Charity applications are available here or in-person at the Board of Selectmen/Town Manager’s Office, Room 121 at Town Hall, 150 Concord St., Framingham.
