UPDATE: Eversource Says Power To Be Restored By Noon
At the height of the outage, more than 1,600 customers were without power along Route 30 from Concord Street to Speen Street.

Eversource spokesperson Michard Durand said power should be restored to all customers in Framingham by noon.
Durand said at 11:20 a.m. that customers on Newbury Street between Speen Street and Old Connecticut Path were still without power.
Eversource was first notified of the power outage around 8:15 a.m., said Durand.
It affected the Route 30 area from Concord Street to Speen Street.
Durand said the issue was a “damaged piece of equipment” on Speen Street.
“It took us a while to find the damaged equipment. We had to patrol the area to find it and then re-route the power,” said Durand.

There is still a large number of customers without power in Framingham. Some have been without power for almost two hours. The outage is near and along Route 30. As of 10:30 a.m., Eversource was reporting 5% of Framingham without power.

Eversource is reporting 6 percent of Framingham or more than 1,650 customers without power as of 10 a.m.

And at 9:15 a.m., Eversource is back reporting 5 percent of Framingham is without power - 1,585 customers.

At 9 a.m. Eversource is reporting that 3 percent of the town, or about 1,000 customers are still without power. Most reports are in the Route 30 area.

Traffic signals at the intersection of Routes 30/126 are out, as well as several other traffic signals along Route 30.

Reports at 8:30 a.m. have the traffic signal on Route 30 near Target and Lowe’s is also not working.

Framingham Police have sent a cruiser to help with traffic at the intersection, said Framingham Police Lt. Stephen Cronin.
Framingham Fire is on its way to fix the signal issue, said Lt. Cronin.

There are multiple reports this morning of the traffic signal out at the bus intersection of Routes 30 and 126 in Framingham.
Reports starting coming in from readers after 8:15 a.m.
Motorists should avoid the intersection at the moment, if possible.
