Two Framingham Student-Poets Win Statewide Award

The elementary and middle school students submitted poems to a contest sponsored by the National Garden Club.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Two Framingham students are winners in a statewide poetry contest sponsored by the National Garden Club.

Sixth grader Maureen O’Connell and third-grader Stella Cote were among hundreds from Massachusetts who submitted poems with the theme of "Adventures in the Garden.” They were recently awarded Garden Club Federal of Massachusetts certificates and a journal.

O'Connell's poem was called "Spring Returns," and Cote's was "My Garden." You can read Cote and O'Connell's poems on the Framingham Garden Club website.
