Water Main Break Partially Closes Winter Street

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A water main break in Framingham partially shut down a long stretch of Winter Street on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Framingham Public Works, Winter Street between Long Avenue and Dr. Harvey Cushing Way was open in a one-way alternating pattern. Residents in the area were told to expect little or no water pressure.

The public works department has set up an information page for residents who have questions about why breaks happen, and what city crews do to repair them.
