Where Motorists May Encounter Road Construction in Framingham

Road work in the Town of Framingham is weather permitting.

Despite the snow and the cold, there may be some road work this week.

The following is a list of MassDOT, Town of Framingham, and utility projects scheduled for the week of January 18. All are weather permitting.

DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: Contractors continue to install traffic signals, street lights and wiring throughout the project. Expect minor delays and on-street parking restrictions in areas of construction.

EVERSOURCE DOWNTOWN UTILITY PROJECT: Contractors have begun excavation of a jacking pit in the area just north of the railroad tracks on Concord Street between Howard Street and Waverly Street. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Parking will be restricted in the work area. Work is scheduled Monday evening through Thursday evening from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Expect minor delays.

ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: Contractors are working on the southern section of the bridge. The westbound pedestrian sidewalk will remain closed. Expect minor delays.
