Winter Advisory In Effect in Framingham Until Sunday Morning

The National Weather Service has issued the advisory for MetroWest, including Framingham until 7 a.m. Sunday, for wind and icy conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued the advisory for MetroWest, including Framingham, until 7 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24.

The advisory was issued in the 8 p.m. hour for wind and icy conditions.

While parts of the East Coast are getting hit with feet of snow, Framingham is still expected to only receive 2 to 4 inches. Snow is expected to stop around midnight.

However wind gusts will continue as high as 40 miles per hour, and combined with the snow that has fallen, will result in poor visibility. Visibility could be reduced to one quarter of a mile at times.

Temperatures will remain in the 20s.

The advisory was issued also, as icy conditions may develop overnight. Motorists should be carefully, especially on bridges and overpasses.
