Woman Killed In Route 9 Crash In Framingham
The driver, a 28-year-old woman from Ashland, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Framingham Police Department.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A woman has died following a traffic collision on Route 9 in Framingham over the weekend.
The single-vehicle crash shut down a portion of the road Sunday night between Temple Street and Winter Street as rescue crews responded to the scene, Framingham police confirmed via Twitter.
Route 9 East between Temple Street and Winter Street is closed to all traffic while single car motor vehicle accident is being investigated.

Around 9:23 p.m. on Sunday, police said they responded to 1138 Worcester Rd. in Framingham for a report of a single-vehicle accident involving a guard rail.

After arriving to the location, fire crews, paramedics and police immediately began providing medical attention to the driver; however, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries reported.

Police said the driver was a 28-year-old woman from Ashland.
Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction responded to assist in the investigation. The cause of the accident remains under investigation, police said.
